that it comes with the ad package, trying to implement is difficult.
no support or guidance. Cannot get support from Google.
website realization, how to market better to our visitors
I like the platform which was easy to use.
The approval time and issues with ads were very high. It took us over 3 attempts to get the results we need and the budget it put us at was very high.
Advertising our products and clients that we sell or serve.
User friendly and of course the familiar interface of google translates to this service.
The fact that it is Google, they do not necessarily offer something different as other platforms that seem to have a slighter edge on service.
To know where traffic to out platform is coming from and other basic insights on users.
I do not have many good things to say here. At least the UTM codes are easy to generate.
What is a session? Its a completely made up term that is not consistent with any other metrics. GA does not play well with programmatic, tracking is a nightmare and the reporting is hard to read.
We've been able (i guess) to track clicks on ads, but not consistently or easily.
Easy to use, easy to teach, easy to go tru.
The software is not that friendly, sometimes crashes.
Poblation data. Consumer data
I like that I can quick access real time information about our website and specific pages.
It can be VERY hard to decipher what I am seeing. You really need your web programming team to be fully invested and to help you deep dive into some of the metrics.
We are able to see which web pages have the most traffic, what elements on our pages have the most clicks, if our emails are driving traffic where we expect it to go and more. There are many benefits to Google Analytics, you just need a dashboard of some sort to make it easily digestable.
Overall information's provided by analytics regarding geographic, behavior and bounce rate and others which are directly or indirectly relevant to website.
It have bit complicated user interface so difficult for new user to find what they looking for.
E-Commerce, Web statics, deep analysis of users action and behaviors.
custom demo reporting for our clients is pretty good
G4 capabilities do not allow for insights
custom report generation
'Pages' allows me to see how pages are performing on my website and where traffic is coming from
The look and feel of it needs to change to make it more user-friendly. There's a lot to be said for design aesthetics but also it's not so easy to understand.
Mostly just using the pages tool at the moment. Trying to learn more day-by-day but it can be a difficult platform for the non-expert
You can glean a lot of valuable information about visitors, sessions, and visitor behavior. The drilldowns into individual pages in your application or site and the device/browser information is invaluable for us. For general trends in traffic, revenue, etc it's a good data source.
It requires a lot of setup and manual work to get what you really need. The UI is hideous, and we run into problems often with GA not tracking things correctly. It has pretty substantial limitations for ecommerce tracking and often isn't close to accurate for conversion rate, number of orders, or revenue.
Helps us track how many users actually interact with specific modules in our admin control panel, so we can figure out which features to improve or deprecate.
has everything i need at the tip of my fingers
i cant get a hold of support fast enough
seeing who we are reaching benefits on how to change the ad due to who is seeing the ad on what device etc
I like being able to pick specific marketing tools that we use in conjunction with our adwords and create a report from that.
It can be very hard to understand. I do not find the dashboard to be very user friendly.
Our Board of Directors requires analytics when viewing the ads and how they reach the public. Google Analytics makes these reports possible to fetch relatively quick with the specific dates we need to see.
I like the fact that there is this system to keep track of website analytics, how your website is ranking in Google searches and measures statistical data.
It is very confusing to me to navigate. I manage a freelance PR business and am not tech savvy. But friends of mine who manage businesses and who are tech savvy have the same opinion. There is almost TOO MUCH information, and it becomes overwhelming to understand.
I am trying to determine where my website is ranking on Google and the demographics of who is viewing my site. I have been able to determine demographics information, but that is about it. If I had a few hours in a day to dedicate solely to navigating Google Analytics, I'm sure I could figure it out. But I don't, so I'm sure I'm not keeping up with it as often as I should.
It is great to see bounce rates for pages and user engagement yet these metrics are minimally useful given the overhead of managing the analytics code that seems to require a lot of training to comprehend.
Weighs down site performance and perhaps helps google track your users much more than you'll ever want or need to. Have found other tools much easier and cost effective to manage such as Plausible and other open source tools that are non invasive to you and your customer data.
Bounce rate and regional metrics help us to gauge site performance as well as user flow across the site and helps us to revise content to improve engagement and see where users are lost.
I don't understand all these great reviews. There is really nothing I like best about Google Analytics, I had to purchase another solution.
First of all, it's really hard to use and by the time you get used to your workflow, they change the user interface. Second, the most important data to me (where are visitors coming from) is obscured. It used to be available, but now it says it's not. What happened? Finally, the conversion data doesn't match data coming in from Google Adwords or my own servers.. so I can only deduce that the data is incorrect. Oh... and there's zero customer support.
I'm not. I'm using a paid solution instead.
I guess if there was a best part, it would obviously be the cost. The fact that there is a free version (that sometimes works), is more than most large vendors can offer.
The tool rarely works, the interface is extremely confusing and outdated, it runs slow, errors out frequently, etc.
Running test reports for A/B Tests & pulling general sitewide traffic & conversion reports.
GA is a great tool if you use the paid version and you are only using it as one frame of reference for site traffic statistics.
The free version is not reliable - Google even says though themselves in their privacy policy. "Sessions" are a vague statistic that do not help define the quality/quantity of your web traffic. Far too often, people rely on the free version as a main hub for their website traffic reporting - it's a mistake.
None - I would not recommend it.
I like the ability to really see where you’re getting marketing hits
It’s very time consuming to setup Google AdWords and is almost a full time job managing keywords and staying on top of your organic searches
The ability to track our marketing dollars to see where it is best spent
Its a great measure of where your online success is & the breakdown is extremely detailed.
At times it can seem overwhelming, just so much information to process.
Keeping better track of website traffic so we can set our goals more accurately.
I love the concept of being able to monitor which pages on my website are receiving the most views and how much time they spend on the site.
I had a really difficult time getting the app to work with my website.
Not sure I have solved any problems. Google analytics seemed to verify what I predicted about people visiting my site.
