ACH payments take way too long for payment
I am trying to avoid paying ACH/Credit card fees. Melio is free , so I have avoided them. I would like the option for a quicker payment.
Melio Saves me time writing checks as it can directly debit my account and send a paper check or ach payment to my vendor.
Melio now charges a 2.9% fee on debit and credit cards. They also charge $1.50 after the first 2 checks each month. It is also sometimes it is a little slow for US Mail to arrive to the recipient. Perhaps you could mail from multiple locations (ie, one on eastcoast and one on westcoast.)
I am able to pay my providers directly. It sends them an email so they know/trust that payment is on the way.
Easier than writing paper checks; scans and saves invoices clearing up our paper clutter; able to pay via diff sources and appear in one simple uncluttered web console
Support is very limited and if you have any payment issues good luck chasing people down to resolve lost or missing payments. We ended up dropping this tool after a couple serious issues - plus even simple ones, including inability to get help on validating a vendor address in their system so we could use their service to pay them!
In this virtual world handy to be able to manage AP on the go and also juggle minor invoices that easily get lost or ignored. Looking forward to scheduling automation for recurring bills.
easy to set up and was reliable until I was hacked over a month ago
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE -- you can't get answers, there is no phone number to call and even the executives are not customer oriented as evidenced by my LinkedIn interaction with their Chief Business Officer -- culture is a reflection of the behaviors of senior management, so it makes sense as to why they treat customers so poorly.
easy of setting up payments to vendors
It connects to QBO and has a pretty seamless system. Nice looking UI. Worked and I was excited about using the system and speaking highly of it.
Their support team refused to respond to my messages when our new bank blocked the payment. No one jumped on the phone to resolve this issue and we had many payments that never went out. It's now March 10 and I submitted payments before the end of February. Rents are delayed, vendors are unhappy, and so are our internal partners/executives. It also takes a long time for ACH payments to hit your vendor's accounts and they withdraw from your bank immediately.
