I've used several platforms over the years - Wishlist Member, Kajabi, Clickfunnels, Patreon - and Mighty Networks is the one that finally feels like home for my body of work and my community. My favorite thing is never having to use a Facebook group again!
It can be a little buggy sometimes on both desktop and mobile. The plans can get confusing, and figuring out where every setting is when I need to edit descriptions never makes intuitive sense.
Biggest problem is where to put all my content and host a group under one roof. Biggest benefit is getting to have my whole online Institue in one place - it literally feels like an online university where there are different rooms and buildings for anything I want to create.
There are many elements and aspects of Mighty Networks that I love. However, I have to say it si the service given by Mighty Networks that really makes it a high performing organisation. The quick, helpful and detailed responses from chat support. The weekly drop-in workshops and also all the user guides and documents they produce to really make it simple for your to build your online community. I love the customer experience and MN.
There is nothing that I dislike about Mighty Networks. There are a few glitches with the technical side of things which is expected with such a vast and flexible software. No glitch however has been major or caused any real problems.
I am currently facing no problems but working with MN and waiting for new features and flexibility to arrive in the platform. A few things I am really interested in are: 1. The ability to charge in GBP (£). I know th emulti-currency feature is on the MN roadmap for this year. 2. The ability to allow members to select the notification time for a reminder of an event they have RSVPd to. MN allows you to be creative and they are always working with you to grow and improve your community and platform.
It's easy to bring people together in the space--the search function works well, and I love that I can organize material into topics and courses so that things are easier to find. Once people get into the groove of using the space, it feels welcoming and easy for them.
Sometimes it's hard to get folks out of the idea of leaving Facebook groups. But as more and more people turn to MN, that's become more marketable. My least favorite things are backend issues: I wish I could copy Plans so that creating new course payment options was easier. It can be hard to figure out how to set up Plans for specific needs.
I've created a magical community where we connect over the experiences we have of being in our bodies. My members LOVE being in the space. And I, in turn, get energized by working with them! I have regular, recurring cash flow from the membership model that helps me pay a team to support me. It's great to have everything in one place--not having to toggle between a course platform and Facebook means I can stay focused on what matters most.
Impressed with features and functionality of the platform.
Limited templates. Would like to see more options.
More engagement with my highest dollar clients and have developed a close knit community
I love the Community aspect, because it provides learning through connecting with others of likemind. But, I also love the support that the platform offers to assist us in growing a striving business and community that members love.
There's nothing I dislike because Mighty Networks strives to get better and better at delivering what we need to build a successful community and business.
I am solving the problem of helping professional women to bridge the gaps of struggles and disparities that disconnect us, so we can connect, empower, learn and, support each other on deeper levels.
Most of the online sites that say they are offer community -- really exist to promote courses or content and the community feature isn't much more than comments about the content. At its core, Mighty Networks is about community...and community is at the heart of their platform. We're in our third year of hosting on Mighty Networks and I'm a believer and advocate for MN.
While the service is great...their stated normal response time is within a day...and I'm always wanting instant response.
An online place where people experience belonging grounded in positivity and not being slimed in the process of trying to find the good stuff.
I love how user friendly it is and customizable. It looks so professional with minimal effort and it is easy for my clients and customers to navigate.
I wish there was a blog preview for people who are looking to buy a membership. Eg, showing the blog titles, photos and a small clip of the blog.
Minimized platforms I needed to run my business and present my offerings to clients and customers. Saves me money in the long run!
I like the ease and simplicity the best.
I dislike the app notification features. I have to mark "loves" read when I already saw them.
I am solving the problems of having several apps and sites to run my online course including payment and the benefits I realized are being able to host every single aspect of my school with my student through MN.
I like everything about MN. I love that I can create a community AND have courses all at the same time.
The app needs work. I don't hate it, but I don't use it much because it's not super user friendly.
Previously, I used a FB group + a course built somewhere else. It was clunky at best. Mighty Networks solves the issue because both are available.
I like the layout and ease of use of the platform.
I dislike that I can't sell courses without a membership attached
Community and content in one place; able to use separate from social media
