Great handshake with sage erp, however they are separate products which have an integration owned by sage. Within the uk there is lots of experience however check for local resource if you plan for a global role out.
Global support is limited in some countries. Useful if running sage as an erp

Well I trialed it to determine the availability of using it in my business, and while it offered an interesting platform was not for me. So didn't really solve my issue, no benefits realised

The flexibility that is afforded by customizing as we see fit to meet our needs.
That flexibility comes at a price in the way of consultant hours to help us develop it. Out of the box, Sage is a decent CRM, but to really take advantage of it's power, you need to be able to invest in development hours to customize it to fit the organization's needs. Unless you have a development team on staff that can be used to help with these customization, you will need the assistance of a consultant to do that type of work; and that can get expensive. We are fortunate enough to have a full time CRM Administrator but even then some of the customizations are above my skill level which makes it frustrating to fulfill the requests of our end users who just want to optimize our CRM and make efficiency improvements.
The biggest and most obvious problem we solved by using Sage CRM is having a truth of source for all of our customer interactions and make that data available to everyone in the organization.
Sage is a great way to keep up with your daily sales needs.
To be honest I don't feel like the software is super user friendly. I often get hung up when inputting data.
It was trying to help us establish a sales goal but it was more confusing and our company is very old school. It was too hard to get everyone on board so we stopped using it.
The strength of Sage is that it's quite customisable. We were able to adapt it to our business needs fairly easily. Once set-up the reports are easy to dowload and get (financial reports like sales done in the month), it is also easy to keep track of your pipeline. The support is great, they've always been super fast at getting back to me, faultless servive here.
Overall, I'd say this software is temperamental, and a bit dated. The search function works 1 out of 5 times, you sometimes need to add % in front of name to make sure the right company/contact come up. This has led to the team entering the same contact twice for example, not great. I also generally find that sometimes things won't work (e.g. you try to create an opportunity for example) and you have to close the window and start again - it's actually a fairly regular occurence. The other thing as well is that while customising the software is easily done, it does require external help (so billable work!)
