Jquery and overall security can be improved more. I am often asked to run GTMetrix and similar tools and Jquery is by far the biggest hurdle to improving scores in those tools.
It's perfect for small business website development and a huge library of free themes and plugins really help. In general overall development process is super fast.
When the matter is to designing a website, WordPress is the best because it does not require a single line of coding, that's totally awesome man. Just awesome and cool.
In my point of view, the speed of a WordPress website can be speedy, can be faster if they use a better theme for their customers. Besides this, everything is good.

WordPress Software is Opensource and Free but It requires a web hosting server to host the website. WordPress has some security issues after the installation, has to block and do many things to secure the website.

WordPress has always been my go-to platform if I'm planning to build a website. I was 15 years old when I built my first website using the amazing tools provided by WordPress. I like the numerous templates and themes provided by WordPress to customize our Website according to our requirements. I also like the easily accessible interface and the ease of building and developing websites from scratch. WordPress has the option of drag and drop and also the option of using HTML or CSS for building pages.
WordPress is an amazing software for building and developing your websites. But what bothers me is the pricing options available and also the number of free themes provided. I understand that it isn't right for business if numerous free templates are provided but I guess a few more free templates for every category would be very beneficial.
I have been using WordPress for a long time and I use it majorly for building websites for my purpose and also for professional use. I have used WordPress to build my portfolio website recently and it turned out amazing I also built and developed a website for a student club (IEEE club) in my college where it was presented before an audience. The thing that I liked the most about WordPress is that a non-coder can also build a secure and functional website from scratch. I, myself, am not into coding and I have managed to build a very functional and attractive website.
There are themes available to directly add on the website, there is no need to learn CSS. Also, the website can be customized by adding plugin which are super easy to integrate as compared to API's we use while writing code using HTML/CSS and Javascript.
In Wordpress we install themes and other components to use them during which it is much more prone to cybersecurity attacks. One such issue I faced was a phishing attack on my website.
Using WordPress, I along with my team developed a website that during the covid pandemic connected the patients to hospitals for Oxygen Cylinders, Beds, etc. The availability for these equipements were updated regularly and could be bought using the website.
By using WordPress, there are countless possibilities to customize our website to make it true to our vision. Numerous themes and plugins of great quality are available to choose from. It is worth paying for premium packages to get the best performance, maintenance and innovation but also for the great knowledge base and education that usually comes with premium products.
What I like best is all the choices available but it can also be a downside sometimes because of the time involved to compare and experiment with different themes and extensions. But I found that once you have good quality foundational WordPress themes and plugins when you have other needs, the ones you trust usually refer to other products they trust which makes it easier to choose. Another thing to be vigilant for is security and updates. There are regular updates and it is not rare that you need to take the time to check the updates, apply them and make sure everything works well after. It can be annoying when you have other things that you planned to do on your website. However, like anything, this should be integrated as part of the normal things to do when having a website and I'd rather have updates knowing that what I use is active in upgrading and securing their products.
I learned a lot since I started using WordPress. I was scared at first to use WordPress but it has evolved a lot and it is much easier to use than it used to be before. There are tons of courses, tutorials and knowledge bases to find any information needed to get the results we want. Since I enjoy learning and figuring out how to do things myself, I love the process of learning to use WordPress. As I mentioned earlier, there are so many possibilities to choose from and it can be difficult to know which will be best for our needs. It can take a lot of time and experimentation. But for me, it is worth it because I now found exactly what I need to create my online store and website without compromising my vision. I rather take the time than use another platform that makes it easier but that has not as much flexibility and where you need to compromise on how you want to create your online presence. Of course, I could pay a professional to create my custom website and store but I don't have the funds to pay right now. The best second choice for me is WordPress.
